Friction’s unique interaction with local communities to create participatory arts projects, particularly with REALITY ESTATE, allows a whole population of people previously disenfranchised from the arts to become actively engaged with it and showcase their own creative talents.
Working alongside established artists as well as each other, residents are given the opportunity to develop transferable team working, problem solving, confidence building and communication skills as well as gain invaluable experience of the artistic process itself.
